News Capsule for the Month of August 2026
Greetings to all listeners and readers!!
For the past six months, the entire world has been discussing one thing- the economy. The world economy has been going through a much bigger roller coaster for the past six years now. Post-pandemic, every country has been trying to build its economy and give its citizens strong confidence in their respective populations.
India, too, has been trying to achieve the goal of a $5 trillion economy and be a developed nation by 2047, the 100th anniversary of Independence. Amidst the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, skirmishes with Pakistan, challenges with the stock market, and much more, the Indian economy has shown a bit of resilience. Inflation is there but has been relatively lower than in the rest of the countries. The 2025 and 2026 budgets have shown strong intervention by the government to address domestic problems amidst a turbulent international situation. The major challenge for India remains the situation of the youth, such as education, health, and unemployment.
This podcast episode will navigate through various aspects of the Indian economy and what are the upcoming challenges to be overcome.
