The Never Ending Debate on Reservation in India

When we say the word, reservation everyone means and refers specifically to caste-based reservation.  Reservation is applicable in educational institutions and in government jobs, PSUs, at the governmental level, politics, and administration. But in India, it opens up for a variety of debates in India on society, economics, and justice.  Why Reservation and specifically Caste-based Reservation? Countries around the world have various types of affirmative actions, and in India, it is primarily through reservation. Due to the backwardness and historic disadvantages faced, India has a system of caste-based reservation, enshrined in the Constitution of India, yet has been practised since the 1932 Poona Pact. Central Vista, India's New Parliament Complex- A need or a necessity or wastage?

Central Vista grabbed political headlines just before the first wave of COVID-19 in 2020. It was when the BJP-led NDA govt decided to establish a new Parliament Complex in the heart of Delhi in Vijay Chowk, closer to India Gate. This was intended not only to replace the existing parliament building but also for a big complex with a lot of compartments and facilities. Now, in mid-2021, almost in the same month as the Modi Govt's second anniversary, it fell into a couple of controversies.
