It ranks high on multiple indices of the NITI Aayog and boasts impressive Human Development Indicators such as literacy rate, healthcare, education, and low corruption. This success is attributed to the contributions of visionary leaders, irrespective of political affiliation, as well as public participation in socio-politics, policymakers, subject experts, the erstwhile Travancore Kingdom, and many others. This collective effort has led to what is known as the Kerala Model of Development. The state is among the top ten in terms of both GDP and per capita income. Despite Kerala's significant progress in quality of life and human development parameters, there are other fronts where this success is lacking. Indian Politics has always been one of the most interesting subjects both academically and also in understanding the socio-political dynamics of the country. Indian Politics stands apart from the rest of the world's domestic politics for multiple reasons. Starting from its independence in 1947, the country has one of the world's most number of political parties, majority state and regional parties. India is the world's largest democracy. India is a federal republic in addition to a secular democracy. 

India's political discourse has changed in the past few years. The times are changing, the spectrum has become polarised than ever. We are getting intolerant, we are refusing to listen to opposing views, don't want to have a healthy conversation, etc. Society is divided on caste, religion, economics, party, pro and anti-Modi, etc. With social media and partisan mainstream media, the amount of hate and divisiveness is at its peak. 

This episode will take you to how Indian Politics reached this particular situation and decode the reasons and various contemporary issues and the way forward.

On the third of December in the morning, everyone thought that Congress was going well in all the states as per both opinion and exit polls.
