We all associate ourselves with various identities such as Indians, Chinese, Pakistani, Americans, Canadians, French, British and much more. Why do you think we all associate with all these more? Are there any other identities which people associate with?  The identities which I mentioned before are relatively new compared to other identities such as religion, language, caste, and various other identities. It is not to say that people never had such feelings towards nations or the state. But the idea of loyalty and love for the motherland was very important which offset various other identities. The question we are arriving at is what is the motherland, who made and how it formed.  What we refer to today as a Nation or Country refers to what we know in political science as a Nation-State.   • ED raids offices of digital news outlets Newsclick and Newslaundry. These outlets were known for anti-establishment reporting. They claim is part of revenge and silencing the voice. 
  • SC calls for auditing of Shree Padnabhaswamy Temple as well as the trust for 25 years. 
  • Punjab CM Amarinder Singh quits after claiming humiliation from all sides. He also met Home Minister Amit Shah amidst speculations of him quitting the Congress party. 
  • WB BJP leader who quit the party Babul Supriyo joins TMC. 
  • PM Modi arrived in the US for a visit and for attending the QUAD leaders' summit. He also held meetings with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Before he returned, he spoke at the UNGA leader's address. He also met 5 CEOs during his visit. 
  • 27th September was Bharath Bandh or Nationwide strike in connection with Farmer's protests. 
  • Charanjit Channi takes over as Punjab's first Dalit CM. 
  • CPI leader Kahaiya Kumar resigns from Party and joins Congress in the presence of Jignesh Mevani, who himself joined the party then and there. 
  • Navjot Singh Sidhu, the Punjab PCC President resigns. 
  • Mehbooba Mufti claims she is under house arrest in Kashmir.

  • The US is experiencing the death of 2000 people per day in the third wave, most of them of who are unvaccinated.

  • Norway's left-wing party wins the parliament in a landslide. 
  • Taliban forces people out of Kandahar city
  • US, UK and Australia form a new AUKUS alliance for the transfer of nuclear submarine technology as a warning to China in the South China Sea. 
  • France was disappointed with Australia's actions to join the AUKUS by dropping the agreement with it. Following this, France withdrew ambassadors to Australia and the US. Macron and Biden spoke to calm down the situation.  
  • Tensions between Japan and China are growing in the sea over its Island disputes and freedom of navigation amidst the resignation of Japanese PM Suga. 
  • Russia held the national election last week, the ruling party retains power amid the allegations of voter fraud and protests.
  • North Korea tests missiles after a long time. 
  • The US admits its mistake in targeting an aid officer and innocent civilians in Kabul during a drone strike. Families of these civilians demand justice from the US over the same. 
  • A massive shooting was reported in Perm University premises in Russia that killed many students. 
  • The Candian Snap elections result in almost the same election results as it was two years before. The liberal party led by Justin Trudeau remains the largest party followed by the Conservative party. NDP seeks to partner up with Liberals for becoming the ruling coalition. 
  • UNGA convenes for its first live session since the pandemic has begun. US President Joe Biden spoke for the first time in the same after he took charge this year.

  • Sudani govt. said that they have foiled a coup attempt by the military.
