Kerala Assembly Elections 2021 Special Podcast

Greetings to all listeners and readers!!

It is election season in five Indian states. Compared to ordinary Indian politics, we can understand that these are the five states which are somewhat isolated from the politics of the rest of India as well as the place where regional parties are strong.

Here we are focusing more on Kerala Politics for multiple reasons. The main reason is that I, myself is from Kerala. Also, this time we are seeing an interesting contest that is not only bipolar but also tripolar in many seats, and as usual Kerala politics is unique in multiple ways.

Don’t know much about Kerala Politics, its parties and leaders? Read it as a prerequisite to improving your understanding.

About the Podcast

Known for unique ways of politics, demographics, tourism, etc. Kerala has always stood ahead of other states. We declutter one of the most cluttered and competitive elections in the history of the state.

With 14 districts and 140 constituencies, Kerala is seeing a close contest between the incumbent LDF and the opposition UDF. We have the nation ruling NDA trying to eat up the cake that was shared by a bipolar fight to a tripolar fight. Along with that, we have new political and apolitical forces challenging the forts built by political parties for years. The majority mark for ruling the state is 71 seats. The alliance that crosses that mark will get to rule the state for five years.

If you are a person who doesn’t like to read those long elections-related articles, or even watch videos that require full attention, then we have made this podcast just for you so that you need not read anything much, or watch but you can just listen to it, while you are doing something else like driving, or even casually browsing social media. Also, another advantage of a podcast is that you listen to them from your favourite streaming platform or even cast it on your Android TV.

Generally, these topics like these aren’t much available in the mainstream media, because these are believed unimportant. But, through my podcasts and blogs, I disprove this misconception that these cannot be understood by common people. We explain in simple terms regarding various subtopics under this vast topic in the form of conversational and Q&A style.

We cover in detail the following topics-

Podcasts started with a discussion on the factors which make Kerala politics unique. It was a personalised answer that panellists chose to put forward their ideas. This was followed by a heated discussion on the major issues on which battle is being laid out. What are the issues? It is a surprise to those who are going to listen! So don’t miss it. The episode also discussed in detail various controversies that were raked in the past term of the government.

The role of new parties and interesting contests were also debated with the distinct points talked upon.
