2022 has been a surprising year for everyone. Entering the third year of the pandemic, the situation has become normal for many while for others it has worsened or remained the same. Whether we like it or not, 2022 has had an impact on us. It will continue to have an impact, as we still have nine months to go. In the past, I had written an article on various political events which will take place in 2022 and their impact on international politics at large. 2022 has been declared the International Year of Glass by the United Nations. Why glass? It is a significant invention that is in use in multiple domains, especially in the industry and also as the world gets access to the internet through undersea optic fibre cables.
